About Farewell Funerals
Graham and Amy have been there at the front of Farewell Funerals from the day we opened on 23rd January 2017.
For Graham it all started 8 years before when he started helping a friend’s dad who had a funeral home in Featherstone. Graham stepped in to help as the owner was suffering with his health and they became good friends and he became a mentor to Graham. This is where Graham became passionate in his belief that every person should have respect and dignity in their last journey in life and in death, which is something he still carries today.

Each and every person we take in to our care is looked after personally by Graham or Amy ensuring that we make the time to see every single loved one is given the respect and dignity they deserve while they are with us. We like to have them dressed in clothes provided by the family hopefully what would be a favourite of theirs.
Amy has had a very different journey she was the communications manager at a commercial cleaning company where she sorted all the needs out of customers, staff and directors. Together we decided on opening our own funeral home and chose Clay Cross our base. Our offices were an old pizza shop that over a four month period became our very own Funeral Directors between us we demolished walls floors ceilings and turned it into our beautiful offices with our very own private mortuary, our beautiful respectful chapel of rest and also two arranging rooms where families can discuss all the requirements that they would like for their loved one.
We hope you feel totally comfortable in our company and our office is built to make you feel at ease and settled.
Remember we are here for you every step of the way. We never charge for wanting to visit our chapel of rest if it’s after hours, weekends, early or late visits 365 days a year at no extra cost that’s our promise.
